Data covers farmed salmon, sourced from verified customs declarations. Cached on SalmonPrices.com server; refreshed monthly on the 15th (or next working day) after SSB publishes new data. Unit value is computed as customs value ÷ net mass (FOB Norwegian border); it reflects product mix as well as price, so markets importing fillets show higher unit values than those importing whole fish for reprocessing. Not directly comparable to the weekly fresh-whole headline price shown on the main page. EUR values use the monthly average ECB reference rate, computed as the arithmetic mean of daily EUR/NOK fixes across all business days in the reporting month. This period-matched approach reflects what importers actually paid during the month.
